Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival at Ben Gurion airport for start of the Holyland Kingdom Experience.  We drive to Jaffa, to visit the village where Peter saw the famous vision of the impure animals. This is the same Jaffa of the Prophet Jonah and of other Bible stories. Traveling north along the path of the ancient passing by Caesarea. Transfer to Tiberius to check in hotel.

Day 2

We will spend the morning in Nazareth, where Jesus lived as a child, later working with Joseph who was a carpenter. We will visit The Church of the Annunciation, just behind the altar where you can see the grotto where Mary said “yes” to the angel of the Lord.

Visit St. Joseph’s carpentry shop and Mary’s well, as well as Mt. Precipice where Jesus was tempted. We will also visit Cana, where Jesus performed his first miracle, changing the water into wine.

Travel on to Mt. Tabor, the site of the Transfiguration, and the church, built by the Franciscans in the early 20’. From there we return to our hotel in Tiberius for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Today we visit Mount of Beatitudes where Jesus delivered perhaps the most significant sermon ever preached – “The Sermon On The Mount”. Then continue to Capernaum, the town where Peter lived and where Jesus based his Galilean ministry.

We visit the ruins of the town and gain an understanding of why Jesus focused his ministry here, where ancient Judaism flourished. We will visit the Synagogue where Jesus healed and taught, and Peter’s house. We proceed to Tabgha, the site of the multiplication of the loaves and the fishes; we will also visit the Church of St. Peter’s Primacy, where Jesus appeared after the Resurrection. We enjoy a spiritual boat ride on the lovely Sea of Galilee. Return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 4

Breakfast and check-out from hotel.  We will visit the National Park of Beit Shean – which was first settled in the fifth millennium NCE on a mound south of the Hard Stream, in the heart of a region of great fertility and abundant water and at what became a major crossroads Yardenit, the Baptismal site on the Jordan River before leaving Galilee for Jerusalem along the Jordan Valley, we will also visit the “Myles & Ruth Munroe Memorial”

Lunch at Qumran, and then proceed to Qumran caves, then we will experience Masada, atop the mountain over-looking the sea below. Masada was the last and children defied the might of Rome and fought for three years after the destruction of Jerusalem. Proceed to where the Dead Sea scrolls were found.  Following to that we stop at a private beach at the Dead Sea where you’ll have the opportunity to swim & float in the salty mineral rich water.

We will end our day in Jerusalem, checking in at our hotel.

Day 5

Breakfast, then we will visit Yad Vashem – Israel‘s official memorial to the victims of the Holocaust. It is dedicated to preserving the memory of the dead; honoring Jews who fought against their Nazi oppressors and Gentiles who selflessly aided Jews in need; and researching the phenomenon of the Holocaust in particular and genocide in general, with the aim of avoiding such events in the future.  

Afterward we enter the Old City through the Zion Gate and see the Cardo and the remains of Nehemiah’s Wall on the way to the Western (Wailing) Wall. Visit Temple Mount and the Fity of David and walking to and Via Hezekiah Tunnel.

We proceed to visit Mount Zion, the Upper Room, and Dormition. Return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 6

After breakfast in Hotel, we will drive to Hebron visit the cave of Machpelah THE CAVE OF THE PATRIARCHES, we proceed to Bethlehem City for and then proceed to visit the cave in Shepherd’s Field and view the Fields of Boaz. We will stop for shopping in Bethlehem City, then return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 7

In the morning we will visit Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of Jerusalem. We visit the Church of Pater Noster and the Chapel of Ascension and then we walk down the hill to Dominus Flevit Chapel, where Jesus wept over Jerusalem. We proceed to the Garden of Gethsemane have a special prayer in the secret Garden of Gethsemane we then will visit  the Church of All Nations where Jesus endured his Agony, visit Mary’s Tomb.

We will process to the Garden tomb the Tomb of Jesus for special prayers

Return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 8

After breakfast, we will drive south, starting with the infamous Masada where we will see where Jewish defenders made their last stand against the Romans in AD 73. On top of the mountain, we will see the remnants of the Masada fortress, its buildings, synagogues, homes, public areas, and bathhouses, and hear about the tragic history of the inhabitants of the Masada fortress.

The bathhouses and homes provide a fascinating look at how people lived at that time. Next, continue to the Dead Sea shore for free time, and enjoy floating on the salty waters.

After dinner in the hotel, we will travel to the wailing wall for a cultural experience of prayer.

Day 9

After breakfast, check out from hotel and transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for departure.
